Make a Memory Bear
Do you have some baby clothes you cherish or maybe some clothes from a loved one which you have packed away but would love to create something to remember them by? These gorgeous memory bears can be made in a variety of fabrics so there is no limit on what can be used (the picture is jersey T-shirts backed onto calico). Bears measure approx. 10" but you can make bigger if required. These make wonderful keepsakes or lovely gifts!
You will learn:
- to cut accurately incorporating pockets, emblems etc
- attach to a suitable backing for construction
- create darts etc for 3D effect
- add features
Additional costs: You will need to bring a range of clothing which you are happy to cut up. I would suggest sewing the eyes if its for a young child but if you wish to bring plastic eyes please do (the photo has buttons as it is for an adult). Everything else is included in the cost including a paper pattern to take home.
Suitable for: Someone who can use a sewing machine.
